National flowers, national fabric, national language and national pride: fashion designer Nadine Gaus has turned them into an artform. As co-founder and creative director of Wearing Klamby (derived from the Javanese “klambi”, or clothing), Nadine debuted her collection of modest womenswear, including hijabs, at London Fashion Week 2022. Her inspirations include the handwoven Java textile tenun garut, as well as culturally significant blossoms.
